Facebook keeps everything—good or bad. We post something sweet, stupid, nice, great, embarassing, it’s there. That’s the thing there.
Facebook doesn’t know ‘grace’. It keeps a record of everything that’s said and done (well, unless you painstakingly delete everything). What I’m talking about here is when things change, friendships change and relationships change. Sometimes, when these changes come, some things have to be forgotten.
For that reason, Facebook doesn’t help me forgive and forget. Facebook doesn’t remind me of real love. Buried in the news feed, cries and crimes from the past (of mine and others) will eventually haunt.
Please, spare me the temptation. Just spare me. I want to live a life of hope and love.
